The procedure, considered

Sculpt the resistant details that weight loss alone cannot resolve.

Liposuction refines localized fat deposits that remain despite healthy eating and exercise. Accent On You uses a tumescent technique with VASER ultrasound-assisted technology to treat areas such as the abdomen, waist, hips, back, thighs, knees, upper arms, and chin or neck.

Your consultation

Evaluate fat, skin, and proportion together.

Dr. Nakamura assesses where fat is stored, the quality of the overlying skin, and how each treatment area relates to your overall silhouette. If loose skin—not fat—is the primary issue, a tummy tuck or another contouring procedure may produce the stronger result.

  • Skin elasticity and contour limitations

VASER technique

Ultrasound-assisted precision.

Through tiny access incisions, a tumescent solution is introduced and a slender VASER probe uses ultrasound energy to help emulsify targeted fat. A cannula then removes the loosened fat while the surgeon shapes the surrounding contour.

  • Small, strategically placed incisions
  • One or several treatment areas
  • Procedure time ranges from about one hour to several hours

Recovery

Compression supports the new contour.

A compression garment helps manage swelling and supports the treated areas during early healing. Tenderness, bruising, and fluid retention can temporarily soften the result; activity and garment use are advanced according to your individualized postoperative plan.

  • Walking begins early as directed
  • Timing for work depends on the areas and extent treated
  • The result sharpens gradually as swelling resolves

Liposuction FAQs

Questions worth
asking early.

General information to support a more informed consultation. Your recommendations and recovery guidance will always be personalized.

01Is liposuction a weight-loss procedure?

No. Liposuction is intended to contour localized fat deposits that have not responded to traditional weight-loss efforts. Candidates are generally near a healthy weight and have realistic expectations.

02Will I be put to sleep for liposuction?

Anesthesia depends on the amount of fat being removed, the treatment areas, and the individual surgical plan. Some procedures may use IV sedation with local anesthetic, while more extensive plans may require a different approach.

03Can liposuction correct loose skin?

Liposuction removes targeted fat but does not remove significant excess skin. If skin laxity is a major concern, Dr. Nakamura may discuss another body-contouring procedure or a combined approach.
